WildRein AI (“WildRein,” “we,” “us”) builds TakeoffAI, Markup AI, and related tools. This page explains what we collect when you use wildrein.ai or our products, why, and what you can do about it. It’s written in plain language on purpose — for the formal version, this is the legal privacy policy governing your use of our site and software.

What We Collect

• Checkout information — name, email, billing address, and the intake details we ask for (company name, title/position, trade, years in business, company size), collected through our store at purchase.
• Your license email — the email you activate TakeoffAI/Markup AI with. This is how we identify your seat, nothing more.
• A device identifier — a one-way hash generated from your computer’s hardware, used only to confirm a license is being used on the machine it was activated on.
• Drawing files and documents you submit to TakeoffAI or Markup AI for processing.
• Basic site usage — standard web server logs (the kind almost every website keeps) for security and troubleshooting.

How We Use It

Checkout and account info is used to fulfill your order, provide support, and communicate with you about your account. We don’t sell it, and we don’t share it with anyone outside the vendors that make WildRein AI work (see below).

Drawing files are processed through our servers using your own Anthropic API key — never a shared or pooled key — and the results are sent back to you. We do not keep your files once a job is finished, with one exception: if you’re on a free 30-day trial, we ask separately for your permission to retain the drawings, summaries, and markups produced during that trial, so we can keep improving the product. That data stays in-house and is never shared with anyone outside WildRein. You can decline this when you sign up for a trial, or ask us to delete it at any time.

License email and device identifier are used only to enforce your seat — confirming you’re an active, paying (or trial) customer, and that a single seat isn’t being run on more than one computer at once.

Who We Share It With

• Payment processing — checkout and billing are handled by WooCommerce and Stripe. We never see or store your full card details ourselves.
• AI processing — drawing files are sent to Anthropic’s Claude models using your own Anthropic API key, on your own account. Anthropic’s own privacy practices govern that processing; WildRein doesn’t have a separate data-sharing arrangement with Anthropic beyond forwarding your request under your own key.
• We do not sell your data, to anyone, ever.

How Long We Keep It

Account and billing records are kept as long as your account is active, plus whatever period we’re required to retain them for tax and accounting purposes. Drawing files are deleted once a job completes, except free-trial data you’ve specifically consented to us retaining, which you can ask us to delete at any time.
